History
The history of DFM, is also the history of its founders. The call on my life was announced when I was just a newborn baby. Through prophetic words spoken over me at my dedication God said "I have taken him and he is Mine. He will win souls in My name." I was fifteen when God again announced His call on my life. Prior to receiving this call, there were many factors influencing my future. An abusive father, a broken home, and two of my sisters attempted suicide. Our family seemed to be a magnet for tragedy; there were many losses, hardships and heartaches Satan instigated in his attempt to prevent me from fulfilling God's call on my life. These attacks caused me to eventually seek happiness in areas other than with God and to run from His call to me.
In my early years, I remained committed to my walk with the Lord. But at the age of eighteen, I began to flirt with drinking. While I considered it "social drinking", it gradually became more than that, eventually taking over my life and nearly costing me my life. In an attempt to keep me from falling away from the call on my life, my pastor encouraged me to attend Zion Bible Institute, Barrington, RI. This was an amazing experience, a time when God was calling me into a deeper relationship with Him. Instead of answering Him, I contrived an excuse that my family needed me home as a way to continue running from Him. Once there I got involved with a bad crowd; it wasn't long before I had left God and the church far behind.
I had ran a long way from my upbringing, Zion Bible Institute and God, but no matter how far you run from God, you are still always running to Him. God was still working His plan. I began to learn the height, depth, breadth and width of His love and how great His mercy and patience is with us. Through my running God began to piece together His plan for my life and I met my future wife, Lisa. While I was fighting my own personal battles on my own personal journey; Lisa was going through great trials of her own. She had a strong relationship with God, the Holy Spirit and a Pentecostal church that helped her to overcome the battles she was enduring. She successfully sought God for my deliverance from drugs and alcohol and for my return to Him. After a few years of dating, we were married on March 24th, 2001. Though there was a godly foundation between us, there were many obstacles to overcome before we would be ready to answer God's call on our lives.
It took time to grow together and to commit to attending a home church. God eventually led us to a place where we acquired the tools and gifts we needed to enable us to fulfill His plan. He first cleansed us of all unrighteousness, baptized me awesomely in the Holy Spirit, then taught us what we needed to know. Over six years we served as Sunday School Teachers, Childrens Church Leaders, Sunday, I was School Superintendent, we were Board Members, Youth Pastors, and eventually I became Associate Pastor. These were all steps we needed to provide us the skills to launch this ministry.
God led us on a journey that introduced us to many heavily anointed men of God and on this journey He poured into me a powerful anointing. Divine Force Ministries has been influenced by Pastors and people from such diverse organizations as the Pentecostal Church of God, United Pentecostal Church, Church of our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Church of God in Christ, Church of God Mountain Assembly and the Assemblies of God. Through the support and instruction of many faithful men and women of God in these organizations, DFM was born. It is a blessing of God that we maintain close ties with people from all these organizations.
On June 29th, 2008 Lisa & I, through the leading of the Holy Spirit, were called to finally launch an end-time Evangelistic Ministry, Divine Force Ministries. God had placed it upon our hearts to take the message of salvation to everyone who will receive it, to baptize in Jesus' name and to raise up a spiritual army to fight for every single soul in the ultimate final great harvest. Then on July 1st, 2010, two years after spending time growing and evangelizing, God laid it upon our hearts to pioneer a church that would raise up and develop righteous warriors.
The name "Divine Force Ministries" was inspired by the Holy Spirit through the scripture found in Matthew 11:12 "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing and forceful men lay hold of it." It is time for all saints of God to begin to forcefully advance the kingdom. It is time to recognize we are in a battle for life itself and to take up our spiritual arms and fight. Satan has long been victorious in the lives of believers, now is the time for us to rise up and say no more! It is time, through the power of the Holy Spirit and the end-time anointing, to draw the line in the sand that he can't cross.
Space and time are inadequate to tell you of all the miraculous intervention and direction that has brought us to this point in history, but God has called us, and you, for such a time as this. Join with us to answer the call of God in these last days and this great harvest.
