Goals
- What is our "goal" in it's practical application?
To bring back into the fold "backslidden" believers and those who have been taken captive. Further, to prevent this fate befalling those we love: "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth. (Revelations 3: 16) and "Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition," (2 Thessalonians 2: 3) Many have fallen away, we must reclaim as many of those as possible before it is too late.
To win new converts with the message given by the Holy Spirit that they will hear. Christians have been "talking" to the people for decades, but the people aren't hearing what we have to say or are rejecting it. In these end-times, the Holy Spirit will give us the message that they will hear. "Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest" (Matthew 9: 37-38)
To bring to the world a prophetic end-times ministry. For the last sixty years people have been saying Jesus is coming. As in the stories of Chicken Little and the Boy Who Cried Wolf, they have said it so long and so loud that people are no longer listening, but Jesus is coming. "But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say 'Peace and safety!' then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober." (I Thessalonians 5: 1-6) We hear reported in the news a cry going up around the world for peace and safety now more than ever; and God's prophets around the world all proclaim with one voice we are in the last days.
II Peter 3: 3-12 ". . . scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying: 'Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation." For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. But the heavens and the earth which now exist are kept in store by the same word reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, do not forget this one thing that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat: both the earth, and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God,"
To raise-up an army of "like-minded" believers to reach the lost and captive. A militant, victorious, annointed army who is no longer content with doing things the old way, but are ready to learn a new way. Together we will finally succeed in completing the mission that God set out for all of us, under the direction of the Holy Spirit with the new message He provides.
