Salvation
Salvation only requires two very basic steps:
- You must first believe in the existence of God, accept that there is one true God. If you accept this, then the next step is:
- To accept that if He truly is GOD, then He is able to, and did, directly influence the creation of the Word that purports to be His Word. He would not condone the development of a word, that was to be the leading guide to information about Him, to be false or contain errors. Instead, He would ensure that the Word that claimed to be His, truly is His, and is truthful, factual and without errors. Therefore, you must next accept that the Bible is the infallible, inherent Word of God, accurate and truthful in every way.
If you accept that God is and that the Holy Bible truly is His Word, then Salvation is as easy as Jesus proclaimed it to be in the story of Nicodemus. The story of Nicodemus is the story of a man who went to Jesus seeking salvation:
"There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, 'Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him' Jesus answered and said to him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.' Nicodemus said to Him, 'How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?' Jesus answered, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.'" You were born of the flesh, you must now be born of the Spirit.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3: 16-18)
"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1: 8-9)
" Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call." (Acts 2: 38-39)
"..that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation." (Roman 10: 9-10)
If you have accepted these scriptures as fact you must do the following four things:
- Ask Him to forgive you of your sins.
- Follow Romans 10: 9-10: acknowledge who He is and your acceptance of Him as your Lord.
- Follow Acts 2: 38: after repentance comes baptism in water and in Spirit.
- Find yourself a good church and begin to seek God about His direction in your life.
